The Centre for Conflict Management at the University of Rwanda in Kigali, in partnership with a group of academics from the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), University Los Andes (Colombia) and The Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex (UK), held the seminar at the University of Rwanda Headquarters, Gikondo Campus, on Thursday, March 28th. The seminar was entitled The Role of University in Peacebuilding through Partnership and Local Engagement. Dr. Juliet Millican talked about The Research Project and the Role of Universities in Peacebuilding in Different Parts of the World. Dr. Larisa Kasumagić- Kafedžić talked about Working with Students and Language Teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Peacebuilding Pedagogies. Monica Almanza discussed the theme of Reimagining Colombian Peacebuilding through the Pedagogy of Memory. Dr. Francois Masabo presented Cross University Module that is based on engaging different local partners. During the seminar series of discussions were made with the community partners, students associations and other faculty members who took part in the seminar.
