Lejla Mulalić, member of the Peace Education Hub, delivered an online lecture at LCC International University’s Centre for Dialogue and Conflict Transformation (Klaipėda, Lithuania) on 26 November 2025. The lecture was part of the university’s annual Historical Identities Seminar.
Mulalić spoke on the topic Historical Identities: Teaching for Peace in Post-Conflict Bosnia and Herzegovina, sharing her personal and professional journey from wartime Sarajevo to her work at the Peace Education Hub at the University of Sarajevo. She highlighted the ways in which history and literature can function as tools for teaching peace, bridging private memories with public narratives, and strengthening critical historical awareness.
Students expressed strong interest in the history and post-conflict realities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in peace education strategies. Many drew parallels with experiences in Lithuania, Ukraine, and other contexts marked by conflict or geopolitical tension. The event opened space for further dialogue, and additional collaboration between the institutions is anticipated.
